Wedding

Saturday, June 23, 2018 was a special day! Our youngest son, Jordan, married his sweetheart, Hannah! I have never seen him smile so much!! The weather was perfect, the venue was beautiful, Hannah's parents' backyard was delightfully decorated with God's beautiful flowers and greenery, and family and friends enjoyed many hours of visiting, dancing and good food! Jordan and Hannah Crawford   Jordan and Hannah with grandparents (Shannon's Mom and Scott's Mom and Dad)   All of our children were able to attend, which was special. It had been 3 years since they had all been together. We enjoyed hanging out together, reminiscing and laughing, while taking turns holding little Eve, who smiled at everyone. The Crawford Clan before the wedding   Cousins We were able to meet some of Hannah's family and friends over the weekend and we were able to help out with a few of the preparations. While it was a wonderful time of connecting with our family,

Our trip to British Columbia started with a stop at our daughter's in Leslieville. We gave her one day of free labour around the house and yard as she readies her house to list it. Scott spent part of the day whipper snipping and cleaning the garage while I hemmed several sets of curtains, helped with cooking and played with  the kids.   Day two saw us taking a new road. We traveled west of Rocky Mountain House and saw some beautiful scenery. First we saw what I think was some kind of crane - a tall, elegant rusty brown bird with a red cap. Then we passed Abraham Lake, where we stopped briefly for a few photos. What amazing colours!! Shortly after that we stopped to photograph some wild sheep and saw some rock climbers out enjoying the day. Abraham Lake A wild sheep poses for me! Along our journey we meet so many interesting people and that continued in Salmon Arm. Our hosts, Jack and Trish, made us feel right at home and shared their experiences of many trips

Ups and Downs

As usual, there is a lot to fit into each week, it seems. We're returning from somewhere or planning to go somewhere else! When we finally get to Ukraine, we're not going to know what to do with all the time we spent traveling! (OK. I do know - LANGUAGE STUDY!!) Speaking of traveling, we were in Leslieville, Alberta with our daughter and her family. The weather was great so we spent lots of time out in the yard with the grandkids. We played on the swings, flew a kite, rode bikes and went for a walk. Sunday we shared at Bethel Union Church in Leslieville, had a relaxing afternoon and watched a few innings of our granddaughter's ball game before heading for home. This week has been spent cleaning out the garage and closets in preparation for a trip to the Thrift Store in Saskatoon. Monday we will attend our District pastor's luncheon meeting with other EFCC pastors from around the province. Scott has been busy at the computer working on his sermon for an upcoming
