A quiet week

For the past two weeks we have been enjoying sleeping in our own bed! Life has seemed to slow down a little bit and we have actually packed quite a few boxes! The china cabinet is now empty and all the photo albums and games have been packed as well. The garage is a little messy with all the boxes, empty and full! Our 'give away' pile is growing. It is amazing how things lose their importance over time.

Last Sunday we spoke in Beechy and met many friendly and passionate people. Our hosts, Mel and Vel, took us on a tour of the countryside. We saw the crops and the river valley by Diefenbaker Lake. Saskatchewan has sandcastles! Did you know that? They are pretty cool.

We have been able to go for walks in the mornings, trying to get in better shape and lose some of the extra weight that hangs on. We get to enjoy the view of the crops and sometimes a wild animal or two. Recently we've been walking through the local park where a family of geese has taken up residence. Shannon brought some lettuce to feed them. One of the young geese even ate right out of her hand!!

Tomorrow we will speaking in New Norway, AB, (New Norway Free Church, 132 Dominion St. at 10;30 am). We will enjoy seeing the farmland along the way. This is a beautiful time of year to enjoy the different colours in the fields.

Enjoy the colours of the fields and flowers in your neighbourhood! Stop and say "Hi" to a neighbour.
Until next time, keep counting your blessings.
