Last day in our house!

The last 10 days have been jam-packed with to-do lists!! Tonight, we can happily say they have all been stroked off! Let me tell you a bit about the whirlwind... Packing and cleaning, sorting, and deciding what is important enough to put in the suitcase and what stays behind in a box. That is difficult to do sometimes. Our documents arrived from Ukraine and then we had some last minute things to take care of before we could send them away to the Ukrainian Embassay in Toronto. It was a bit tentative with the rumour of a possible postal strike. (My inside source said that it shouldn't affect most mail delivery.) Scott was busy preparing his sermons, doing yardwork, digging vegetables and helping with decisions about  packing and helping with cleaning. He also did all the work about finding a good house insurance company, which is a lot work when you are renting out your house! Time is running out!

Sorry for being so long between blogs. Life has been running at a fairly high pace since we last posted an update on August 30. We have kept busy with selling furniture and some of the garage stuff. Almost all of our furniture has been sold which will make packing easier.   On September 3, Shannon drove down to Imperial to spend the next 8 days driving combine for Ross and Brenda. This is the fourth year she has drove combine for them and enjoys it very much. Rain shortened her time there by about 4 days, but it is also great to have her home. While Shannon was gone, Scott drove combine for Jim and Karen, but we only had two days in which we could go. It is very wet in our area and our first sprinkle of snow arrived this morning, so it will be awhile before the combines roll again.
