Suspension and Profit

On Saturday as we drove to Wolseley we spent time in Souris, Manitoba and walked across Canada's longest suspension bridge. We wondered the downtown in search of the free-range peacocks! It was a beautiful day for a walk. We chatted with a local lady about the new apartment/hotel complex under construction.

When we arrived in Wolseley it was still a great day for a stroll so we crossed the suspension bridge that crosses the lake in town.

These past 8 days in Manitoba and Saskatchewan have given us the opportunity to meet new people who have blessed us with their hospitality, friendship, encouragement and support. God has been filling our lives with treasures. Thank you to Del & Louise, Roy & Carol, Walt & Carol, and Merrylin for your wonderful hospitality, comfortable beds, great cooking and good conversations!

After sharing at New Life Church in Wolseley, we drove to Simpson to be with Scott's parents on Mother's Day. We were joined by 2 of Scott's sisters. The next day was spent helping his parents go through years and years of stored "treasures" in the garage attic. There were lots of stories to go along with all of the newly discovered things!

We arrived home in time to discover that the Cut Knife community garage sale was coming up this weekend, not next weekend like we thought. So....we got busy sorting through our "treasures" A.K.A. stuff!! We joined two other families today and sold a truck load, literally! We only brought back 6 of our 60 items. We now have gas money for our next few road trips and less stuff to have to pack! It was a profitable day!

Our next two churches are nearby so we get to sleep in our own bed for a few weeks! Tomorrow we are at Lashburn Community Church and next Sunday we will be at Manitou EFC in Neilburg, SK. Next Sunday is a very big day for us. Our son and his family arrives at our house and we get to meet our newest granddaughter, Eve Marilyn Crawford!!! Can you tell we are excited?

Until next time, keep counting your blessings!
